The Phalaenopsis Orchid, or Moth Orchid is a perfect gift. Expect flowers for anywhere from 6 weeks to 12 weeks depending upon the conditions in which the orchid is kept. Orchids prefer a bright position indoors, avoiding direct sunlight and strong draughts. Avoid placing you orchid directly under the aircondtioner too! - these tropical beauties prefer a temperate environment. Your orchid prefers to be kept moist, but not too damp - drowning your orchid is the most common cause of premature death for these little lovelies. Lillipollen recommends a light watering once a week….
